Our Mission
The mission of the University Place Community Garden is to improve the health and well-being of our local community. We do this by:
Creating a strong sense of community in working together to provide our families and other with fresh, organic produce
Building the skills of gardeners who share common interests and values about the importance of growing their own food and harvesting fresh produce for the local food banks
Sharing knowledge, experience and the best practices in gardening with each other
Educating local children about the importance of healthy eating, growing organic food and caring about the environment
Developing new friendships and networks
Our garden gets plenty of sunshine and is also home to a small natural area. We invite you to come out and visit the garden, rent a plot, join a work party, and help Make University Place Better One Vegetable At A Time!
